General Footcare
Sometimes you just need help managing nails that are too difficult for you or addressing areas of thickened skin. We refer to this as general care, or footcare.
Corns, calluses, thick nails, heel cracks etc are all day-to-day treatments for podiatrists. We are skilled at scalpel and drill work so you can expect a thorough treatment of all these ailments, polished off with a high quality foot cream, resulting in a lovely feeling of walking on air!
We believe in preventative care, that prevention is better than cure, so we will always advise you on any steps you can take to help keep your feet comfortable and healthy.

Thickened Nails
Trust us when we say we have seen it all, and there is no need to feel embarrassed when you attend. Nails can become thickened after trauma or ill health, and they can be unsightly or painful as a result. We can help you manage your thick nails, reducing their thickness and improving comfort.
Calluses and Corns
Hard, thick skin can become really compacted and form a corn. This is usually described as a feeling like standing on a stone or a needle.
Who would have thought skin could be so painful?! Unfortunately corn plasters and razor blades are not safe methods of corn removal and injuries easily occur. The use of scalpels for corn and callus treatment is something that podiatrist are uniquely trained and experienced in.
A few minutes in the right hands and you will be skipping along again!
There can be mechanical reasons for development of corns, in which case a biomechanical assessment can identify other ways to prevent them returning.
