How does 15 years go by so quickly?!

It all started on a Friday morning in a little room in the centre of Ilminster, quickly growing to 3 days. When the new surgery was built I took the opportunity to upgrade my room into their fresh new facilities. Caseload continued to grow so about 5 years ago I left my NHS job to do this full time! Now we are sorting out a home of our very own.

It’s been an amazing journey so far. A total rollercoaster, many lows and highs. But with growth in business and a little help from a coach, comes growth in me and the team too. It’s still a journey but gradually we are getting podiatry known as the valuable specialism that it is and not just cutting toenails!

There of course are so many memories from 15 years. Patients that were more like friends, some lost along the way. Colleagues and helpers. The funny stories from patients. The day the snow slid off the end of the roof in great chunks like an avalanche in slow motion. The day a squirrel sat on the window sill….. I could go on!

And now, we are on the cusp of something greater.
